Frequently asked questions

At Relaxinperth, we understand that a truly relaxing stay comes from knowing exactly what to expect. Here are some frequently asked questions to help you prepare for your visit and make the most of your time in our apartment.

What is the dongle for?

The dongle is the most important bit of technology that you will use, as it the main key to, not just the apartment, but most access points in the apartment building. Please have it on you at all times. If you lose it, please contact us straight away. To operate the lock, place the ‘black’ side of the dongle squarely on the small square, until the door unlocks.

If you want to go for a walk around the riverside, you won’t need the dongle to exit the building front doors, but use it for the pool on ground level, or taking in the fantastic views from level 13. You do not need the dongle to go to ground level in the lift.

What do I do when I leave the apartment?

As the apartment is easily accessible by undesirable guests, please ensure that both balcony doors are closed and locked when the apartment is not occupied.

It’s always a good habit to keep the fly wire doors closed to keep out flies and mozzies, especially in summer.

Where do I find USB charging access?

Behind each bedside table is a PowerPoint with USB access. When leaving the apartment on your last day, please turn those powerpoints off again.

How do I operate the TV.

There is two TVs in the apartment. They are both Samsung.

The TV in the living room is operated by the small remote, and the on/off button is on the top left. The large circular one is the ‘confirmation’  (OK) button as well as the up, down and sideways movement. The ‘home’ (looks like a house) takes you to the main menu screen. If you want to watch Netflix, select’ Netflix from the remote, then select the ‘Guest’ profile. The return button ↩️ will take you back one step if you make a mistake in your selection

The bedroom TV remote works in a similar way.

Just remember that both TVs are close to each other, so you might find that each remote might interfere with the other TV.

What can I use to wash, dry and iron my clothes

In the white cupboard door above the microwave, you will find a portable ironing board and iron.

In the laundry cupboard (in kitchen), you will find a washing machine and dryer. A clothes drying rack is behind the door in the bathroom.

Please ensure everything is returned to their position.

How can I cook in the apartment?

The microwave oven is pretty much self explanatory. If your food splatters, just clean it before using again.

The stove top is an induction cooktop, which needs to be turned on at the wall first. Just press the corresponding on/off button for each hotplate, then the desired temperature.

Is there internet access?

Yes, the password is on a magnet on the fridge door.

What do I do with the garbage and recycling?

You will find yellow garbage bags under the right hand sink in the kitchen. When the bin needs emptying, you can take it to the garbage room, found behind the reception desk in the building foyer (Ground floor). You will need the dongle (key) to gain access to that room. General waste and recycling bins are located here.

What if someone asked who I am?

Unfortunately, like most apartment buildings, there are some nosy neighbours.. In response to anyone who asks, just say that you are staying with your friends, Ian & Jackie from apartment B34.

We will notify the building manager that our friends will be staying in our apartment when we are not in Perth.

Is the apartment air conditioned?

Yes! Control is near the front door. Please adjust accordingly, but don’t leave it on overnight or when not in the apartment.

What can I do if the water from the shower overflows onto the bathroom floor?

There is a long handled squeegee in the shower recess to easily scrape the floor dry.
